Hello! My name is Samantha De La Garza-Hoffman, and I am a dedicated Education Specialist in Southern California with a passion for ensuring all students have access to meaningful and inclusive learning opportunities.
My journey in education began as a paraprofessional, followed by serving as a substitute teacher before becoming an Education Specialist. Throughout my career, I have worked with students across a variety of educational settings, from elementary school through adult transition programs. I currently teach middle school students with extensive support needs.
In addition to teaching, I serve as an Induction Mentor, supporting new educators as they develop their skills and confidence in the classroom. My diverse experiences have shaped my belief that every student deserves an education that is accessible, engaging, and tailored to their individual strengths and needs.
My passion is creating opportunities for every learner to thrive, regardless of ability.
Family is at the heart of everything I do and a driving force behind my passion for education. I have been happily married to my husband for 16 years, and we have a wonderful 3-year-old daughter. I am also a caregiver for my older brother with autism and a proud advocate for both him and my younger nephew, who also has autism. These personal experiences have strengthened my commitment to advocating for individuals with disabilities and supporting families as they navigate their own journeys. Outside of teaching, I love traveling, making memories with my family, and anything Disney! Above all, I believe in the importance of family, connection, and helping others feel supported and empowered.
